New YZR M1 2010 - Rossi And Lorenzo Was Very Impressed

Posted: 12 Nov 2009 12:36 AM PST

New YZR M1 2010 - Rossi And Lorenzo Was Very ImpressedFiat Yamaha duo that ruled the MotoGP race in 2009, Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo, was very impressed with the version of the prototype 2010 YZR-M1 used in testing at Valencia on Monday (9 / 11). In this session, Rossi who became champion in the 2009 season, three sequences, while Lorenzo who was runner-up behind Casey Stoner the fastest.

"I'm really excited to try this new version and my M1 has a high motivation to return to work," said Lorenzo, who just 0.025 seconds adrift of Stoner and 0.396 seconds under his best record during the race.

"After going through corners, feels better and we've had more rear grip, so I think we've made great improvements. We also still have to work to improve the speed, but I like what we've accomplished so far. I think we will continue competitive this year. "

"We have to wait and see the comparisons between old and new motorcycles at different tracks next year. But, I'm happy with what you've done. I am a bit tired because this is our fourth day of the race here, but I'm also glad we have one days to trial, "added the Spanish pebalap.

In the meantime, note that when Rossi finishing second in the race here last weekend 0.166 seconds adrift of Stoner. Nevertheless, "The Doctor" This is the prototype of the claimed best 2010 ever tried.

"Indeed, should work harder in order to get a good bike today. However, this is a very important test for us," said pebalap Italy, which uses a new helmet during the race. "Our new prototype have felt better than what we've tried in Brno. Therefore, this is a positive thing.

"On my right track faster than when using the old bike, so I feel our job well. Hopefully, tomorrow we can do a better repair again. Of course we still have the engine specifications and 2009 that we did not have an updated until the next test in February next year. However, this bike feels more stable and has a rear grip better. "

It was the day after the race at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, which was won by Dani Pedrosa, made a direct test. In this session, Stoner who failed to appear in a fall during the race to be the fastest warming.

The 2010 MotoGP rookie candidates also appeared. Ben Spies became the fastest newcomer because he was able to spur Tech 3 Yamaha mount with a record 1 minute 33.469 seconds and was in the order of six. These results are better than when raihannya race on Sunday because he ended the contest in the order of seven.

Marco Melandri, which Honda Gresini gush back after two years of "divorce", debuted at No. 10. He was 1.4 seconds faster than new teammate next season, Marco Simoncelli, who for the first time to test MotoGP bike.

Meanwhile, other newcomers who are rivals in the class Simoncelli 250cc, Alvaro Bautista, Hector Barbera, and the new world champion Hiroshi Aoyama, not shown tajinya. They slammed on the board below.

Valentino Rossi still Stay in Yamaha Not in Ducati

Posted: 12 Nov 2009 12:28 AM PST

Valentino Rossi still Stay in Yamaha Not in DucatiValentino Rossi did not want to let the statement had expressed earlier this week to be biased. Because of that, "The Doctor" provides clarification by saying that, assuming he would leave Yamaha to join Ducati in the 2011 season, is the wrong interpretation of the journalist.

As I reported, in an interview with the BBC yesterday, Rossi said Yamaha had to choose between him or Jorge Lorenzo. Seven-time world champion premier class is also uncomfortable with the treatment Yamaha, because it gives the same motor for Lorenzo.

But Rossi was quickly dismissed assumptions. 30-year-old racer from Italy says, he's just happy to be on the Yamaha, and still saw the possibility to continue with the Japanese manufacturer.

"That is the question that is interpreted by journalists," said Rossi told Gazzetta dello Sport. "A lot of things that will happen in the coming years. We have to see where we stand when it is time to decide," said Rossi who has nine whole-time world champion.

"It was a long discussion (with BBC), and at one point, I asked about what other alternatives. So I said, Ducati might be an option. I think it is somewhat realistic interpretation.

"But I repeat, I am happy at Yamaha and I wanted to continue with them. Am I going to stay with this motor? I also say: yes. Actually, I'll probably still race after 2010. There may also stay with Yamaha.

"I do not influence peer one team selection. In fact, a factory would be pleased to have two tough racer. It could be a positive situation for pebalap too, which surely will increase the motivation to compete.

"But if we look at the situation the 2010 season, was strange, because the Yamaha will lose two of the four strongest racer, and instead there is a third, seeing as Ben Spies performance testing. From the perspective of Yamaha, this is the best thing."

Meanwhile, Lorenzo who since joining the team in 2008 had a different team manager with Rossi - even in the garage, his team and Rossi teams are separated by partition walls -, admitted one team remains pleased with the champion of the world. The problem, thus he still has a chance to beat the champ.

"I do not have a problem with it," said Spanish pebalap this. "I'd rather be his team mate, so keep trying to beat him. I do not know what he was saying, but if he says so, then he has a problem with my existence," added the former two-time world champion 250cc class is.

Tatankacephalus cooneyorum - new Fosil

Posted: 12 Nov 2009 12:18 AM PST

Tatankacephalus cooneyorum - new FosilA husband and wife paleontologist has discovered a new species of dinosaur that lived 112 million years ago in what is now the Montana. Uniquely, these dinosaurs have a hard layer on the skin that resemble armored vehicles.

Both of them, Bill and Kris Parsons, of the Buffalo Museum of Science, New York, found the dino skull is on a hillside in Montana in 1997. They then continued the search and digging up fossils collected nearly complete, including the skull with a protective layer, cut the ribs, spine, and leg bones.

Animals which later was named Tatankacephalus cooneyorum is a kind of Ankylosaurus, plant-eating dinosaur whose body was covered with a layer of bone. It may be colored layers, and similar material kerapak turtle or bird's beak.

"They were big dinosaurs that walked on four legs and berpelindung like a Sherman tank," said Bill Parsons of the animals whose length reaches 4.5 to 6 meters.

In addition to armored dinosaur is equipped also with two pairs of pointy horns, one on his cheek and one pair again around her eyes. He has two thick layers at the back of the head and the hard part around the nose.

Bill Parsons believed, during his lifetime, T cooneyorum covered with hundreds or thousands of pieces of hard coating, a hard fins on the back, and the thorns on the tail, similar to Ankylosaurus.

To avoid predators, Ankylosaurus probably lowered his body on the ground and pulled his head, while the horns on his head to protect from bites to the neck.

The species found in this allegedly is the type that appears after a more primitive Ankylosaurus Ankylosaurus present and then with larger antlers and more curved nose section.

Megalit Stone Gong

Megalit Stone GongMegalit stone gongs found in plantations Atungbungsu Village, District of South Dempo, Pagaralam Town, South Sumatra (South Sumatra), Friday (6 / 11). Head of Tourism and Culture Art Pagaralam Syafrudin City said it planned to release land around the location of the discovery of Megalit stone, after it had made enclosure.

According to him, a lot of rock found in Megalit Pagaralam, even some have done with make a fence around the preserve.

Pagaralam municipal government does not have a special agency to scour the various data or historical objects, such as Megalit and sculpture.

"However, the location of the discovery of rock gongs this tourism area will be built the largest orchard in the City Pagaralam with approximately 100 hectares of land. In the future we will involve local people to find and help maintain, if the historical objects found again in other areas," he said.

Citizens District South Dempo Amrullah said Megalit shaped stone gong five times the size of the contents of the drum 100 liters of oil was found five miles from the hamlet Atungbungsu, one kilometer from the airport construction site.

Megalit which when hit will issue it sounds like a gong round oval with one meter high, two meters wide and five meters long, found in coffee plantations owned by local residents.

"It is estimated that Megalit stone thousands of years old, with the condition still intact, but its position has shifted, there are indications will be moved to another place," he said.

Region where the discovery of stones that had once been Megalit shrub, but by the owner cleaned and made coffee plantations.

Because of lack of understanding, the rock contains a high historical value, the stone was left stranded. After the municipal government Pagaralam come, the new note was Megalit stone.

"It's in there is quite a lot Pagaralam Megalit ancient heritage, but its maintenance is still not done well," he said again.

Evolution of Molecular Language

Posted: 11 Nov 2009 11:38 PM PST

Of the 20,000 genes in the human genome, few are more fascinating than FOXP2, a gene that underlies the faculty of human speech. All animals have an FOXP2 gene, but the human version's product differs at just 2 of its 740 units from that of chimpanzees, suggesting that this tiny evolutionary fix may hold the key to why people can speak and chimps cannot.

FOXP2 came to light in a large London family, half of whose members have severe problems in articulating and understanding speech. All turned out to have a mutation that disrupted this vital gene.

This year, one inquiry bore fruit, although of a somewhat ambiguous nature, when biologists in Leipzig, Germany, genetically engineered a mouse with the human version of FOXP2 substituted for its own. The upgraded mice squeaked somewhat differently from plain mice and were born with subtle alterations in brain structure. But mice and people are rather distant cousins — their last common ancestor lived some 70 million years ago — and the human version of FOXP2 evidently was not able to exert a transformative effect on the mouse.

A scientific team led by Dr. Daniel H. Geschwind of the University of California, Los Angeles, has now completed a parallel experiment, which is to put the chimp version of FOXP2 into human neurons and see what happens. These were neurons living in laboratory glassware, not a human brain, so they gave a snapshot of FOXP2 only at the cellular level. But they confirmed suspicions that FOXP2 was a maestro of the genome.

The gene does not do a single thing but rather controls the activity of at least 116 other genes, Dr. Geschwind's team says in the Thursday issue of Nature.

Like the conductor of an orchestra, the gene quiets the activity of some and summons a crescendo from others. Surprisingly, the chimp version of the gene had a more forceful effect in the human nerve cells than did the human version.

"The human FOXP2 seems to be acting on a more refined set of genes," Dr. Geschwind said in an interview from London.

Several of the genes under FOXP2's thumb show signs of having faced recent evolutionary pressure, meaning they were favored by natural selection. This suggests that the whole network of genes has evolved together in making language and speech a human faculty.

And some of the genes in FOXP2's network have already been implicated in diseases that include disorders of speech, confirming its importance in these faculties.

But the FOXP2 network is certainly not the only set of genes involved in language. For one thing, FOXP2 is equally active on both sides of the human brain, whereas the language faculty is asymmetric, Dr. Geschwind said.

By studying the other genes in the FOXP2 network, Dr. Geschwind said, he hoped "to use FOXP2 as a lever to get a view of the molecular machinery in a biological language circuit."

In a commentary on the new finding, Martin Dominguez and Dr. Pasko Rakic of Yale describe it as an important discovery that "provides a starting point for future studies of the molecular basis of language and human evolution."

Free Internet Connection From Google

Free Internet Connection From GoogleOh.. So good Google now. Thank's so much for your kindness. Google's getting more than the usual amount of attention this week for sponsoring free airport Wi-Fi during the holiday season. And rightfully so: During a long layover, no one wants to fire up their laptop and Web browser only to see a Web page demanding money for Internet access. In The List bellow you can find all of airport that have free internet hotspot

The free airport Wi-Fi promotion from Google is a nice gesture, but in a perfect world, it wouldn't be necessary. Airport Wi-Fi should always be free, and I'm not just saying that as a pipe dream. I think it's inevitable.

There are a few reasons for this. First, the rise of smartphones means you don't need a laptop and Wi-Fi for core tasks such as checking e-mail or surfing the Web. So while it'd be nice to jump on my computer during a layover, I can still get on Twitter, access Gmail and read an endless supply of news stories with my iPhone's 3G connection.

Then, there are 3G-enabled notebooks and netbooks to consider. I don't think expensive monthly contracts appeal to the average consumer, but for the business set, constant connectivity has its advantages. If products like the Nokia Booklet 3G take off, they'll surely cut into the business of airport Wi-Fi providers such as Boingo.

Finally, the hurried nature of airport travel, combined with the availability of in-flight Wi-Fi, makes paying for airport wireless Internet inefficient in terms of cost. If I've got a 40-minute layover ahead of a three-hour flight, and Internet access costs roughly the same for both, I'm going to choose in-flight Wi-Fi, especially because I'll have no other options in the sky.

I'm not saying there's no value at all in paid airport Wi-Fi. I've used it once to file a PC World story on deadline, after a flight, when I had no other way to get Internet connection at a reasonable time. But that's a rare circumstance that I'd rather not repeat.

The list of airports that do give away free Wi-Fi is long; but in those places where paid Wi-Fi is hanging on, the time for change is at hand. Boingo has reportedly been experimenting with ad-supported Wi-Fi, and with good results. I'd like to see that in more airports -- ahem, LAX -- even if it meant limiting the time of free Internet sessions. Google shouldn't have to play Santa Claus year-round, but we shouldn't have to pay $8 for a half hour online.

New Species from Dinosaur's Family Has Found Again

Posted: 11 Nov 2009 10:55 PM PST

New Species has found in Johannesburg South Africa. A newly discovered dinosaur species that roamed about 200 million years ago might help explain how the creatures evolved into the largest animals on land, scientists in South Africa said yesterday. This big species that has named "The Aardonyx celestae" was a 23-foot-long small-headed herbivore with a huge barrel of a chest. It walked on its hind legs but also could drop to all fours, and scientists said that could prove to be a missing evolutionary link.

This is a species "that no one has seen before and one that has a very significant position in the family tree of dinosaurs,'' said Australian paleontologist Adam Yates.

Adam Yates, who is based at the University of the Witwatersrand's Bernard Price Institute for Paleontological Research, led the research with several local and international scientists.

Their findings were published yesterday in the Proceedings of The Royal Society B, a London-based peer-reviewed journal.

The Aardonyx celestae species dates to the early Jurassic period. Yates said the creature found in South Africa stood nearly 6 feet high at the hip and weighed about 1,100 pounds.

The species shares many characteristics with the plant-eating herbivores that walked on two legs, Yates said. But the new species also has similar attributes to dinosaurs known as sauropods, or brontosaurs, that grew to massive sizes and walked on all fours with long necks.

"The discovery of Aardonyx helps to fill a marked gap in our knowledge of sauropod evolution, showing how a primarily two-legged animal could start to acquire the specific features necessary for a life spent on all fours,'' said Paul Barrett, a paleontologist at the British Natural History Museum who assisted on the dig that led to the finding.

Why and how dinosaurs grew into such massive creatures is a question that scientists have been trying to answer.

Walking on all fours allowed animals to carry more weight, and size was often their only defense against sharp-toothed carnivores, said one of the report's co-authors, Matthew Bonnan of Western Illinois University.

The discovery of the new species was made by postgraduate student Marc Blackbeard.

Abundant In Warfare 2

Posted: 11 Nov 2009 09:41 AM PST

So I had to think about satisfy my duty as a journalist and buy the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, although the plate is full at the time (I'm far to Demon's Souls, if you're wondering).
Onecall duty: modern warfare 2 potential obstacle: Modern Warfare 2 is, at least according to GameStop, "the biggest entertainment launch of all time." I wonder if all those who pre-ordered the game or hit the launch of a midnight Sunday night hogged all copies. Is my lack of initial commitment to be a problem? Not in my neck of the woods.

Three GameStops nearest to the apartment in Venice, California, all said I could take a copy for the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360, no problem. One employee even answer the phone by saying, "Thank you for calling GameStop ... where we have Modern Warfare 2 in stock." Best Buy's Web site also listed the game as available for pickup at the three stores nearest location.

call of duty: modern warfare 2So, why pre-order? Of course, it is useful to launch a major hardware and a limited edition bundle (such as the Modern Warfare 2's night vision-equipped Prestige Edition), but I do not remember the last time I could not find the game anywhere because I did not order in advance.

Increasingly, pre-booking is about to lock you into a purchase rather than rent, and this is often achieved with stolen goods or goods in the game. For example, if you pre-order the upcoming Mass Effect 2, you get a special armor for use in the game. If you pre-order Left 4 Dead 2, you can play the demo as an appetizer.

Modern Warfare 2 does not have a big pre-order bonus. A reservation with GameStop, allows you get $ 40 back when you trade in game on December 13, but it was not enough time to play single-player campaign and multiplayer games sink into.

My point is, next time you buy something from GameStop, and the registrar offering pre-orders on some titles are still two months away, see what incentives they put on the table. If they do not excite you, relax. You'll still get a copy on launch day.
